A decorated American military hero is dead after being gunned down by an ISIS-supporting terrorist at Old Dominion University in Virginia, in yet another devastating attack that could have been prevented if our immigration system wasn't completely broken.
Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah, a respected military instructor, was fatally shot Thursday by Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a naturalized citizen and former National Guard soldier who had previously been convicted of supporting ISIS. Let that sink in, patriots – this terrorist was walking free despite his known ties to America's enemies.
Another Preventable Tragedy
How does a convicted ISIS supporter remain in our country, let alone have access to weapons and military facilities? This is exactly the kind of security failure that President Trump has been warning about for years.
Shah dedicated his life to serving America, training the next generation of military leaders. Instead of enjoying a peaceful career educating young Americans, this hero was murdered by a radicalized terrorist who never should have been here in the first place.
The fact that Jalloh previously served in the National Guard makes this attack even more disturbing. Our military screening processes clearly failed to identify and remove this threat before he could carry out his deadly mission.
When Will Enough Be Enough?
While mainstream media outlets will undoubtedly downplay the terrorist's radical Islamic connections, patriots know the truth: this was an act of terror committed by someone who hated America and everything Lieutenant Colonel Shah represented.
This tragic incident underscores why President Trump's immigration reforms and enhanced vetting procedures are so critical. We cannot continue allowing people with terrorist sympathies to exploit our generosity and murder our heroes.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lieutenant Colonel Shah's family, friends, and fellow service members. This American patriot deserved so much better than to be gunned down by a terrorist who never should have been allowed to remain on American soil.
How many more decorated veterans and innocent Americans must die before we finally secure our homeland from these radical Islamic terrorists?
