The brutal attack on an 83-year-old military veteran in New York City's subway system has exposed everything wrong with America's broken immigration system and sanctuary city policies that put criminal aliens above law-abiding citizens.

Department of Homeland Security officials revealed Thursday that the "heinous" suspect who allegedly shoved the elderly veteran onto train tracks last weekend - Bairon Posada-Hernandez - was previously deported FOUR times and racked up an astounding 15 prior criminal charges.

Let that sink in, Patriots. This predator had 15 chances to change his ways, four deportations that should have kept him out of our country permanently, and yet he was still roaming the streets of New York City looking for his next victim.

Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis didn't mince words, calling Posada-Hernandez a "heinous" and "serial criminal" - language that should make every American's blood boil when they realize this was completely preventable.

ICE Begs NYC: Don't Release This Monster

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has now issued a detainer request to New York authorities, essentially begging them not to release this dangerous criminal back onto the streets. But given New York's track record of protecting illegal aliens over American citizens, don't hold your breath.

This is sanctuary city insanity at its absolute worst. An 83-year-old American hero who served our country is fighting for his life because radical Democrats prioritized the "rights" of a foreign criminal over public safety.

"How many more American victims will it take before we secure our borders and end these sanctuary city policies that harbor dangerous criminals?"

Under President Trump's leadership, we're already seeing a massive crackdown on illegal immigration and the criminals who exploit our broken system. But cases like this remind us why the America First agenda is so desperately needed.

This veteran deserved better. Every American deserves better. The question is: will New York officials finally put Americans first, or will they release another ticking time bomb back into our communities?

My heart breaks for this 83-year-old veteran. He served our country with honor and this is how he's repaid? Sanctuary city policies are putting our most vulnerable citizens at risk.

Four deportations and 15 charges - the system is completely broken. When will local officials be held accountable for ignoring federal immigration law?

They should be charged as accessories to these crimes. Enough is enough!

This is exactly why we need to secure our borders NOW! How many more innocent Americans have to suffer before we take action?

Absolutely right Mike. This administration has blood on their hands.
