Virginia's Democratic Governor is getting absolutely hammered by patriots across the Commonwealth after delivering what critics are calling a "pathetic" and tone-deaf response to Thursday's terrorist attack at Old Dominion University that left a heroic military professor dead.
Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, an ODU professor of military science, was gunned down by an armed terrorist who opened fire on campus before brave students managed to subdue and kill the attacker. Two other Americans were wounded in what the FBI is now investigating as a possible terrorist incident.
But instead of honoring the fallen hero or addressing the obvious security failures that allowed this attack to happen, Virginia's Democrat governor delivered weak platitudes that have infuriated residents who are demanding real leadership in the face of terror.
Hero Professor Murdered, Governor Offers Empty Words
Lt. Col. Shah dedicated his life to serving our nation and training the next generation of military leaders. He deserved better than the pathetic response he's getting from Virginia's Democrat leadership.
"She won't even call it what it is," one furious parent told local media. "A terrorist murdered a military hero on a college campus, and we get the same recycled talking points about 'thoughts and prayers.'"
This is exactly the kind of weak leadership that President Trump warned Americans about during his campaign. While Democrats focus on pronouns and climate change, real threats are targeting our military personnel and students on American soil.
The contrast couldn't be clearer: courageous students stepped up to stop a terrorist when their own governor won't even acknowledge what happened.
Under the Trump-Vance administration, we're already seeing a tougher approach to national security and terrorism. But Democrat governors like Virginia's continue to fail their constituents with weak leadership when Americans need strength the most.
Lt. Col. Shah's sacrifice and the bravery of those students who stopped this terrorist deserve better than empty political rhetoric. Virginia patriots are making it clear they won't tolerate this kind of pathetic leadership any longer.
When will Democrat politicians finally put American safety ahead of their political correctness? The people of Virginia are still waiting for an answer.
