Spanish actor Javier Bardem led the charge of woke hysteria, taking the stage to present the best international feature film award while wearing a "No a la Guerra" patch and declaring "No to war and free Palestine" to millions of viewers worldwide. The same anti-war slogan Bardem wore to protest the Iraq War more than two decades ago - because apparently this guy's been wrong about American foreign policy for his entire career.
But Bardem wasn't alone in his disgraceful display. Multiple celebrities used the red carpet and ceremony to attack President Trump's successful deportation operations and America's steadfast support for our democratic ally Israel. These are the same Hollywood hypocrites who live behind gated communities and private security while lecturing working Americans about immigration and national security.
The Hypocrisy is Staggering
Let's be clear about what we witnessed last night: millionaire celebrities, many of whom don't even live in America full-time, using their platform to undermine a president who won a decisive mandate from the American people just months ago. While Trump and his administration work tirelessly to secure our borders and protect American jobs, these elitists attack ICE agents risking their lives to enforce our laws.
"These Hollywood hypocrites live in their ivory towers while real Americans deal with the consequences of illegal immigration and rising crime," one social media user perfectly captured the sentiment of millions watching.
The anti-Israel rhetoric was equally disgusting. At a time when our Middle Eastern ally faces constant threats from Iran-backed terrorists, these celebrities chose to parrot Hamas talking points on one of television's biggest stages.
This is exactly why Trump won - Americans are sick and tired of being lectured by people who have never worked a real job or worried about paying rent. While Hollywood celebrates degeneracy and division, President Trump delivers results for forgotten Americans.
How long will patriots continue tolerating this cultural assault on our values and our democratically elected leaders?
