What should have been a slam-dunk bipartisan win for American women has turned into another casualty of the left's radical gender ideology, as Democrats torpedo their own women's history museum rather than admit basic biological reality.
The legislation to establish a Smithsonian American Women's History Museum on the National Mall, championed by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), had gained unprecedented momentum after four years of effort. But the project hit a brick wall when Republicans asked Democrats to do something apparently impossible: define what a woman actually is.
This isn't rocket science, folks. For thousands of years of human civilization, everyone knew what a woman was. But in 2026 America, Democrats would rather kill a museum celebrating women's achievements than acknowledge that women are adult human females.
The Left's War on Women
The irony is absolutely staggering. The same party that claims to champion women's rights is so captured by transgender ideology that they can't even say what makes a woman a woman. How exactly do you celebrate women's history when you refuse to acknowledge who women are?
Rep. Malliotakis and her Republican colleagues weren't asking for anything controversial – just basic honesty about biological reality. But for today's Democrats, even that's a bridge too far.
This is what happens when woke ideology meets the real world. Democrats talk a big game about supporting women, but when push comes to shove, they'll sacrifice actual women on the altar of political correctness every single time.
"We've gone from 'believe women' to 'we can't define women' in record time," one Republican aide told reporters.
Meanwhile, real women – the ones who actually deserve a museum celebrating their contributions to America – get left out in the cold while Democrats play word games with gender.
Patriots, this is exactly why we elected President Trump and gave Republicans control of Congress. While Democrats obsess over pronouns and gender theory, Republicans are focused on common sense and actual solutions for the American people.
Maybe Democrats should figure out what a woman is before they try building them a museum. Just a thought.
