The White House was forced to put out a statement to clarify that President Joe Biden doesn’t have cancer after another strange gaffe made it sound like he did.
Joe Biden was delivering a major speech on climate change when he began to talk about the impact of emissions from oil refineries near his hometown in Delaware.
“You’d have to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window,” the president said. “That’s why I — and so damn many other people I grew up with — have cancer and why for the longest time Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation.”
Joe Biden was immediately roasted online, with many people, including former White House physician Ronny Jackson, sharing the clip while suggesting Biden probably doesn’t have cancer like he said and simply is suffering from conative decline.
Jackson, who served as the White House Doctor for both Presidents Obama and Trump, posted, “Did Biden just say he has CANCER? Very concerning if true, but I HIGHLY DOUBT he knows what he’s talking about. Biden’s cognitive decline is so bad, he’s 100% UNABLE to read from a teleprompter. This has gone too far. He needs to RESIGN!”
After seeing the chaos that Joe Biden had created with the statement that, if true, would mean the President’s life was at risk, the White House quickly put out their own tweet to try and clarify the meaning of his words.
Instead of explaining it themselves, however, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates retweeted a post from Washington Post columnist Glenn Kessler attacking the RNC for helping to spread the video in the first place, adding “This is what the President was referring to.”
So there you have it. The White House claims that Joe Biden was referring to non-melanoma skin cancers that he has removed in the past and simply misspoke when referring to them in the present tense. Do you think it was simply a gaffe by the poorly-spoken president or is he hiding a serious medical condition?
