The Biden administration has approved another $400 million in military aid for Ukraine. This marks the 43rd time the U.S. has aided Ukraine, with a package including artillery, anti-armor weapons, Stryker armored vehicles, and Hornet drones, amongst other items. The aim is to support Ukraine against alleged Russian aggression, but critics warn that this escalation could increase tensions between Russia and the West. Since Biden took office in 2021, the U.S. has provided a staggering $43.7 billion in aid to Ukraine, demonstrating a clear commitment. The latest round of aid includes some potentially game-changing items such as 155mm and 105mm artillery shells for howitzers, seen as key in Ukraine’s counter-offensive efforts. Despite concerns, Biden’s team hasn’t ruled out sending more military aid, including possible longer-range missile systems or F-16 fighter jets.
