President Biden, once a vocal critic of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has now shockingly cozied up to the autocratic regime, revealing his true colors as a weak and spineless leader. At the G20 economic summit in New Dehli, Biden struggled to even pronounce the crown prince’s name, flubbing it in not one but two attempts in what can only be seen as a humiliating display of ignorance.
BIDEN at the G20: "…and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salam, excuse me, Mohammed bin Salman … and since he’s not speaking today, I wanted to — well maybe he is speaking today. I had a note he wasn’t speaking. Any rate, I’m gonna stop there." pic.twitter.com/YXjkywusfo

This is the same man who, while on the campaign trail, vowed to take a hard line on Saudi Arabia, declaring that the country would be made to “pay the price” for its human rights abuses and strategic misdeeds. But now, just one year into his presidency, Biden has already had a friendly meeting with bin Salman and even shook his hand, betraying his own lofty rhetoric and revealing his true intentions of cozying up to one of the world’s most repressive regimes.
The media’s response to Biden’s reversal has been muted at best, with very little criticism or calls for impeachment. This stands in stark contrast to how former President Trump was treated by the Democrats and leftist media outlets, who mercilessly attacked him for his attempts to forge closer ties with Saudi Arabia. Indeed, some even called for his impeachment after the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist who was assassinated by Saudi agents.
But apparently, now that Biden is in charge, it’s suddenly okay to pal around with tyrants and overlook their crimes against humanity. This is a grave betrayal of American values and a shocking display of weakness by a man who claimed to stand up for human rights and democracy.

It’s worth noting that despite Biden’s newfound willingness to cozy up to Saudi Arabia, the regime’s human rights abuses have only gotten worse since he assumed office. The royal family continues to crack down on dissent, torture and imprison activists, and carry out extrajudicial executions. There is very little “social redeeming value” in the present government, as Biden himself once noted, yet he seems content to look the other way and indulge in this despicable regime’s propaganda.
Given all of this, it’s clear that President Biden is unfit to lead this nation, and that his willingness to cozy up to dictators and autocrats is a threat to America’s standing in the world. It’s high time that the media held him accountable for his hypocrisy and moral cowardice, and that Congress took action to reign in his reckless foreign policy before it’s too late. America deserves better than this weak and inconsistent leadership.
