Last week, Mark Wahlberg made a case at Nevada’s capital, Carson City, for a bill aiming to shift film production to Las Vegas by raising tax credits to $190 million over 20 years. Backed by higher-ups from Sony Pictures and Howard Hughes Corp., the bill includes plans for the construction of two production studios in Vegas, bolstering the local economy.
