NPR ludicrously denies George Soros’ influence over the leftist Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), despite Soros funding NPR and evidence of indirect funding to ERIC.
In an article, NPR downplays George Soros’ connection to the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), an organization focused on voter registration, by calling it a part of a “far-right misinformation machine.” However, the Capital Research Center (CRC) has shown actual evidence of Soros’ money reaching ERIC through the Pew Charitable Trusts, highlighting NPR’s hypocrisy.
NPR itself has received at least $600,000 from Soros’ Open Society Foundations in 2016 alone and got almost $2 million for hiring 100 new reporters for 50 member stations. They fail to mention this apparent conflict of interest in their article, where they call the relationship between Soros and ERIC “false” and “simple propaganda.”
Soros provided funding to the Pew Research Center, and through that, the CRC states, his money influenced ERIC. Soros’ Foundation to Promote Open Society funneled two grants in 2011 totaling $725,000 to Pew for voter registration, which directly aligns with what ERIC was working on. Furthermore, leaked documents show Pew’s voter registration activities received funds from the Open Society Foundations in their 2011-2012 budget.
NPR conveniently ignores these facts, perhaps due to its own relationship with Soros. Conservatives must demand that representatives #DefundNPR.
