“Mother’s Day Strike” To Allegedly Happen After Roe v. Wade Overturned

There have been calls from left-wing activists online to start a “Mother’s Day Strike” in response to the leaked draft of the Supreme Court’s calls to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Now, a website has been set up to promote the Mother’s Day Strike and show news related to the progressive cause.

The website calls for activists to stop supporting all businesses for the length of the strike between May 8 -15.

The website states, “A general strike is a form of protest for social or political goals in which all participants cease all economic activity, such as, working, attending school, shopping, going to the movies, transactional recreation, etc.”

This comes after a group going by “Ruth Sent Us” published the addresses of 6 of the 9 Supreme court justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts.

Now, the group is calling for activists to disrupt Christian masses to make their point heard.

“ANNOUNCING: Walk-by Wednesday, May 11, 2022! At the homes of the six extremist justices, three in Virginia and three in Maryland. If you’d like to join or lead a peaceful protest, let us know,” the “Ruth Sent Us” website says.

“Our 6-3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights. We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics.”

“Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her entire life moving the needle towards justice for all,” continues their site.

On Tuesday, the Next News Network reported that Politico had received a draft opinion that indicated they would strike down Roe v. Wade this year. This would end federal abortion across the country immediately and return the power to the states.

Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the veracity of the leak on Tuesday.

There are 26 states that would likely make abortion illegal quickly after. Read more about them here.
