Radical Protestors in Atlanta Attack Police With Molotov Cocktails

Hatred of the police is alive and well among liberals. Even though all evidence shows that we need good police officers to keep crime under control, some liberals still just don’t get it.

The city of Atlanta plans to build a new police and EMS training facility on about 85 acres in south Atlanta. According to its website, The new Atlanta Public Safety Training Center will reimagine law enforcement training and Police/Fire Rescue community engagement. “Building the Center will:

  • Improve morale, retention, recruitment and training for APD and AFR professionals and ensure that Atlanta attracts and motivates those most highly committed to careers in law enforcement
  • Set a national standard for community engagement, neighborhood sensitivity and devotion to the civil rights of all citizens by law enforcement
  • Embrace police reform and cultural sensitivity through an extensive training and educational partnership with the National Center for Civil & Human Rights,” and more.

Despite all of these tremendous goals, which many Democrats have said they want, “[a]t least eight far-left extremists have been arrested after they allegedly threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at Atlanta police responding to an ongoing protest in forested area” where the new facility is to be built, reports the Post Millennial.

“The activists have called the occupation of the private land “No Cop City,” in reference to the public safety build,” reports the Post Millennial.

One Twitter user Tweeted: “Far-left extremists & #Antifa from across US have been going to Atlanta to support an occupation at a construction site for a future police training academy. They’ve created barricades & hurled firebombs at responding police. Comrades have carried out violence in solidarity.”

The Atlanta police were at the site, to escort construction personnel so they could get to work, when the attack began. The Post Millennial reported that “Assistant Police Chief Schierbaum explained that eight had been arrested in connection to the day’s incident, and that charges range from ‘criminal trespass to obstruction of law enforcement officers.’ Among those arrested on Tuesday were: Ana Gypsy Lee, 38; Brooke Courtmanche, 26; Phillip A Flagg, 28; Elizabeth Hoitt-Lange, 24; Madeleine Kodat, 28; Erin Brault, 27; and Abigail E. Skapyak, 23, who also faces a charge of giving a false name.”

See why the Woke say the word “obesity” is racist

The protestors call the area “Cop City.” They are protesting a facility that has a stated purpose to train law enforcement officers, specifically to, among other things, “[s]et a national standard for community engagement, neighborhood sensitivity and devotion to the civil rights of all citizens by law enforcement and to [e]mbrace police reform and cultural sensitivity through an extensive training and educational partnership with the National Center for Civil & Human Rights.” They are literally getting exactly what they’ve asked for, and still they aren’t happy. What do you think the real goal of these protesters is?
