Senator John Kennedy joined Sean Hannity this week where he criticized Biden’s legislative agenda in the last two years as well as the cost they have imposed on the American people.
Senator Kennedy ripped into Biden and his policies, saying, “So we are on day 488 of Build Back Better. So far, the policy failures from this administration have gushed like an open fire hydrant.”
Kennedy didn’t leave his attacks vague, though, immediately turning to Biden’s decision to freeze American drilling when he entered office and the massive inflation that followed.
“You mentioned oil. The president is clearly obstructing America from drilling for its own oil and — for environmental reasons, he says,” said Senator Kennedy.
He then noted that Biden’s actions lead to a new dependency on foreign oil and more environmental damage transporting it across the ocean. “Instead, he wants us to buy oil from foreign countries. Those foreign countries transport that oil to us in tankers that use 2,000 gallons of fuel per hour and emit eight tons of CO2 per hour. The irony is rich. I mean, that’s a special kind of stupid.”
But it wasn’t just Biden’s energy policies that upset the Senator from Louisiana. He also talked about how the multiple stimulus checks Biden sent out could never make up financially for the markets crashing and the massive inflation Americans are seeing.
“On inflation, here’s what the American people see,” Kennedy continued. “President Biden gave Americans three $600 stimulus checks. And then, for his next trick, he crashed their 401ks and increased their gasoline bills by $800 — their food bills by $3,000, and their rent by $2,000 a month.”
Senator Kennedy said that every American, no matter their party registration, was growing wise to Biden’s failings and the cost of his presidency. He told Hannity, “Now, unless you have untreated mental illness, you know that is not a good trade. And that’s why most Americans, at least on the economy, would — right now, would not trust the Biden administration to properly open a PayPal. Its economic illiteracy is astounding.”
While John Kennedy’s words were certainly colorful, there is no doubt that the American people are suffering under the results of Biden’s current policies. Do you think Biden has the time to turn them around before the 2024 election? Do you think he is capable of actually doing it?
