On Wednesday morning, an armed man was arrested near Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house, where he lives with his wife and two daughters, in Chevy Chase, Maryland outside of Washington D.C.

The suspect was carrying a knife, pepper spray, and a handgun when he was arrested at a street nearby the Justice’s home. He did threaten to kill Kavanaugh, told law enforcement sources to Fox News.

Early reports indicate that the man is from California and is 26. According to NBC News, his name is Nicholas John Roske and is a Simi Valley native. The man did it in response to the leaked draft memo, says the Washington Post from two sources. He found Kavanaugh’s home on the internet.

A filing from a United States Attorney for the District of Maryland charges him with attempting to murder a US judge. It also shows that Roske was armed with a “black tactical chest rig and tactical knife, a Glock 17 pistol with two magazines and ammunition, pepper spray, zip ties, a hammer, screwdriver, nail punch, crow bar, pistol light, duct tape, hiking boots with padding on the outside of the soles, and other items.”

Roske called 911 on himself and told authorities that he was suicidal and wanted to kill a “specific Supreme Court justice,” in reference to Brett Kavanaugh, to “give his life purpose.”

The Supreme Court said in a statement: “At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh. He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District.”

The suspect is young and not from Maryland. showed up at the home by taxi, but was thankfully arrested before he could get into Kavanaugh’s home. In addition to weapons, he was carrying burglary tools.

The investigation is being headed by the U.S. Marshals, who are currently protecting the Justice’s homes, and the Montgomery County Police Department.

In response to the leaked Supreme Court draft memo, there have been consistent protests outside of the homes of several justices.

Recently, left-wing protestors were spotted protesting outside of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s house last Thursday as they played loud music and shouted obscenities.

Last month, Pro-abortion protestors were seen outside of the neighborhood of Clarence Thomas’ house but were swiftly met by police. Pro-abortion were seen holding signs saying: “I’m a vagina voter” and “Keep your religion out of my vagina.”

Since the leak of the draft memo, the homes of the 9 Justices have heightened security and the Marshals service is providing security “around-the-clock.”

According to a spokesperson for the Marshals Service to CNBC, all security protocols are currently still in place to protect the justices.

The Supreme Court was allegedly going to release their opinion in June. The timeline corresponds with this failed attempt on Kavanaugh’s life.
