On Wednesday, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi received Holy Communion during a papal Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. Many online pointed out that she received the Holy Communion despite her pro-abortion position and her ban from her local San Francisco archdiocese.

Pelosi was seen seated next to her husband, Paul, in the VIP section of the morning Mass marking the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul. She also received Holy Communion.

Pope Francis generally does not give Communion, but he did bless the House Speaker.

This week, Pelosi called the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe “outrageous and heart-wrenching” decision. She said it completes the GOP’s “extreme goal of ripping away women’s right to make their own reproductive health decisions.”

Pelosi is a devout Catholic, but was banned by the San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone from communion in his diocese after he asked her to denounce her support for abortion.

Pelosi has not done so and has continued to speak about her Catholic faith.

It happened on May 21 when Cordileone put out a statement banning House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion. Now four other bishops have followed suit. The reason? They point to Pelosi’s support for abortion and her support for the Women’s Health And Protection Act, the Democrats failed abortion bill, as the reason for their decision.

The same day Cordileone barred Pelosi, Bishop Robert Vasa did the same to the battered House Speaker and banned her from the Diocese of Santa Rosa. His diocese borders Cordileone’s archdiocese.

“I have visited with the pastor at St Helena and informed him that if the Archbishop prohibited someone from receiving Holy Communion then that restriction followed the person and that the pastor was not free to ignore it,” Vasa’s statement about Pelosi read.

Pelosi was obviously enraged at being banned from Holy Communion. Her and her husband need to go to confession and discuss all the things they have done bad against America. Do you think it was appropriate that the Pope blessed Pelosi despite her abortion stance?
