Fauci Challenges Republicans to Investigate Him

Dr. Anthony Fauci began his role as White House Chief Medical Adviser in January 2021 under Joe Biden. Before that, he was the Director of the Institute of Allergies and Infections Diseases. He has been a vocal speaker on covid-19 and has often made some controversial statements. Republicans say they want to investigate him and he is now saying bring it on.

Dr. Fauci recently went on Rush Hour and talked about several topics. He first talked about Biden and the treatment he received for covid-19, saying Biden did not receive special treatment when he was treated with Paxlovid. He said the drug is indicated for anyon above 60 or 65. He also mentioned that Biden is “a relatively healthy person” but then seemed to catch himself, changing his description of the President to he’s “a pretty healthy person,” but then landing on “quite healthy as a matter of fact.”

The conversation then turned to something Donald Trump recently said about him. Trump bragged about how he handled the virus early on, saying he went against Fauci’s recommendations. He said he “listened to Fauci and whatever he said [he] did the opposite.” Fauci seemed to find that amusing and said he had “no comment” and “The record speaks for itself. Done.”

Then he talked about how Republicans say that if they take control of Congress in 2022, they want to fully investigate Fauci. “One way or another, if we are in the majority, we will subpoena his records and he will testify in the Senate under oath,” said Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. He said, “If they’re going to investigate me, I’d like to ask ‘investigate me for what’? For telling people to get vaccinated? For telling people to wear a mask? For telling people to abide by common sense, good public health practices?”

Here’s the type of questions Rand Paul has already asked Dr. Fauci, and their heated exchange:

He added, “I’ve testified before Congress a little more than 250 times over the last 38 years. I have no trouble testifying. When they say they’re going to investigate… everything about me, all the records, are out there. Every one of my emails practically have been FOIA’d, through the Freedom of Information Act.”

Some parents were shocked by the gay kiss at the end of the popular Netflix children’s show Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous

Anthony Fauci is a very confident man. He doesn’t seem the least bit bothered by Republicans’ threats to investigate him. Do you think they will find anything when they do investigate him? What do you think they might find?
