Drugs are pouring through our southern border. This is a big reason we need to secure our immigration process and crack down on illegal crossings. The CBP recently stopped a massive drug shipment, wait until you see it.

NPR Reports, In a shipment of baby wipes, Customs and Border Protection officers discovered more than 1,500 pounds of cocaine hidden.
A narcotics seizure occurred last Friday at the Laredo-Colombia Solidarity International Bridge, according to the agency. Located on the U.S.-Mexico border, the bridge connects Laredo, Texas with Nuevo León, Mexico.
A CBP officer stopped a tractor-trailer bringing in a shipment of baby wipes for a secondary inspection at the Laredo-Colombia Solidarity Bridge.
During the inspection, drug-sniffing dogs found 1,532 pounds of cocaine in 1,935 packages.
Over $11.8 million was estimated to be the street value of the cocaine seized by the agency.
Alberto Flores, the port director for the Laredo Port of Entry, said in a news release, “Officers assigned to CBP cargo facilities ensure effective border security by preventing and countering the flow of suspected narcotics entering the country,”
“This seizure is a prime example of border security management and how it helps prevent dangerous narcotics from reaching our communities,” he added.
According to a release, special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations are investigating the seizure.
This drug bust represents a good moment for our country and border patrol but they are still getting through at alarming rates.
In fact the DEA has previously warned of rainbow fentanyl coming across the border. Almost 100,000 drug overdoses occur annually in the United States, and fentanyl has led to a sharp increase in those overdoses. Yet the Biden administration has opened the southern border even more so since taking office, and those actions are allowing drugs to pour across into our communities. And parents are worried because a new strain of the drug could end up in their toddlers hands.

Next News Network reported. The DEA stressed that we need a comprehensive plan with strong partnerships and coordination between federal, state, local law enforcement agencies because this new drug is a serious threat to public safety and it cannot be allowed to enter our country.
We’re glad that the CBP caught this cocaine shipment coming into our country but we have a lot of work to do to stop the drugs flowing through our border. It’s horrific to Imagine your child innocently playing on the sidewalk and picking up a piece of rainbow fentanyl then dying as a result. It could easily happen with Biden’s lack of border enforcement. We need additional security on the southern border. The Biden admin needs to put back Trump era policies, and enforcements or we will see crime and deaths continue to rise at unprecedented levels… and your kids could be next.
