In response to recent decisions by major credit card companies, gun rights advocates complain that the move undermines the Second Amendment.

As we previously reported, Visa announced Saturday that the world’s largest payment processing corporation will begin separately categorizing firearm purchases at gun stores.

In addition, Mastercard and American Express have also created a new coding system for all firearms purchases in the United States.

Gun control activists argue the decision will enable easier tracking of gun sales and prevent mass shootings.

According to Newsmax, As a result, the NRA said the policy would target law-abiding Americans who are legally allowed to purchase firearms.

“The industry’s decision to create a firearm-specific code is nothing more than capitulation to anti-gun politicians and activists bent on eroding the rights of law-abiding Americans, one transaction at a time,” NRA spokesman Lars Dalseide said. “This is not about tracking or prevention or any virtuous motivation — it’s about creating a national registry of gun owners.”

Gun owners and those who love the Second Amendment are reacting on Twitter.

This person said, “Then I will be using cash for all future gun purchases….”

Another tweeted, “How big brother of them…”

Another said, “The Left’s ever looming lust for lists”

And this person called for a boycott of VISA, tweeting, “Sending my Visa card in Monday. Boycott Visa.”
