Everybody is laughing after CNN’s Don Lemon made a fool out of himself on live TV last night.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Hilary Fordwich, royal commentator, refuted CNN host Don Lemon’s claim that the United Kingdom should pay reparations for colonialism following Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday.
Twitter users couldn’t help but laugh at Lemon.
One Twitter user wrote, “Wow! He was definitely not expecting that. I still don’t think he realizes what ran over him.”
Another tweeted, “I don’t think he even understood what happened there. ”
And another tweeted, “Lemon, speechless, priceless.”
The awkward exchange comes just days after CNN announced Lemon would give up his solo primetime show, Don Lemon Tonight, to take over the network’s struggling morning news show.
As we previously reported, Lemon will join White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins and anchor Poppy Harlow in a new morning show as the network tries to retain viewers.
According to Don Lemon’s Twitter account he was apparently on an airplane, and was not informed of the decision before his flight. So his social media producer had to jump on and make a statement for Lemon.
