If former President Donald Trump is the Republican nominee for president in 2024, Rep. Liz Cheney has vowed to renounce the Republican Party and leave it altogether.
According to the Washington Examiner, Cheney made the comments during an interview with Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith on Saturday after being asked if she would remain a Republican regardless of the presidential election in 2024. In her House GOP primary last month, the Wyoming lawmaker, a lifelong conservative, was ousted by a Trump-backed challenger.

This comes after Cheney herself may be planning her own run for President.
As we previously reported, After losing in her House GOP primary last month to a Trump-backed challenger, Cheney went on the Today show and said she would make a decision soon about running for President.
