GOODBYE! Robert Francis Just BLEW His Last Chance at Becoming TX Governor

A very important point came up in the debate between Beto O’Rourke and Texas Governor Greg Abbott this weekend.

According to the American Lookout, when asked whether he supports defunding police, Beto replied that he doesn’t.

However, a video from a couple of years ago paints a very different picture – there was no doubt that Beto supported defunding the police then.

On the flip side, as noted by The Texas Tribune, Governor Abbott said during the debate that his record supporting police was clear because he pushed for a law that would punish cities if they pulled money away from their police departments.

“In Texas, we support our law enforcement officers, period,” Abbott said.

In response to Beto’s flip flopping comment, Twitter world unleashed on the Democrat candidate looking to unseat Abbott.

Joe Concha wrote, “Perhaps the worst candidate of our lifetime. Yet he keeps running. Because that’s his job.”

John Levy tweeted, “Is it me, or are the Democrats having a last minute election year change of message.”

And another user tweeted, “What he says depends on who he is talking to.”
