Joe Biden has been spending a lot of time in Delaware lately avoiding reality. It seems the only thing Biden is successful at is vacationing because, and he’s doing a pretty good job of it! In the past 2 years, Biden has spent more than 25 percent of his days in office on vacation.
According to a report by CNN, Joe Biden just can’t seem to stop making frequent trips out of town, often on a weekly basis.
During his less than two years as president, Biden has spent more than 25 percent of his time at one of his two Delaware properties.
As of Sunday, Biden has visited Delaware 55 times, totaling 174 days, according to a CNN analysis of presidential schedules and a tally kept by Mark Knoller, the longtime unofficial statistician of the White House press corps. Additionally, Biden has visited Camp David in rural Maryland 19 times, for a total of 64 days.
It has now eclipsed even the getaway time of President Donald Trump, who was often criticized by Democrats for staying at his personal home while away from the White House. The president had spent about 135 days either at his Mar-a-Lago resort or his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club at this point in his presidency. Camp David was also home to Trump for 23 days.
GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted in response to the CNN report, “Even CNN is calling out Joe Biden for spending over ¼ of his presidency on vacation in Delaware. Where has Biden never gone? The border!”
Townhall also notes that in his first midterm cycle, former president Barack Obama visited 78 cities and held fundraisers in 16 of them, while Donald Trump visited 57 cities and held 27 fundraisers. Biden, by contrast, has only visited 47 cities and held 11 fundraising events so far this year.
