Joe Biden is lying about gas prices once again. Despite what we all know, he tells us they’re going down. I will explain why his statements are false in this video, and what this means in the future.
Townhall writes, In order to cut their losses in next week’s midterm elections, the Biden administration is lying to the American people about gas prices.
During remarks on Monday, Biden once again blamed Putin for the gas prices skyrocketing in our country, but then wildly claimed that gas prices have come down due to the action he has taken.
This gaslighting isn’t just a one-time occurrence, as he demonstrated on Monday.
Last week, we reported that Biden falsely stated that the price of gasoline was $5 per gallon when he took office.
“Today, the most common price of gas in America is $3.39 — down from over $5 when I took office,” Biden said.
Surprisingly, even Snopes, a fact-checker friendly to Democrats, called out Biden’s claim as “false” at the time.
Snopes wrote, “It was true that the national average for U.S. gas prices dropped by about $1.25 from between June and October 2022. However, the two figures [that Biden presented] were incorrect.”
Biden has once again been caught lying about gas prices in an attempt to save face before the midterms. Despite his refusal to increase American oil production and his reliance on dictatorships like Venezuela for our energy needs, he’s claiming that prices are going down. But anyone who’s filled up their tank recently knows better. Biden’s serial dishonesty is gaslighting America, and it’s clear that his desperation to win votes before a predicted midterm disaster has no bounds. Under Biden and the Democrats, gas prices have risen and real wages have dropped – the only way to lower them is by voting Republican on November 8th. We can’t afford any more lies from Biden and his administration.
