This week, after Joe Biden defended himself from criticism that he should visit the border, a Democrat Representative went on live TV and defended the President’s comments.
As reported by The Washington Examiner, while confronted by reporters earlier in the week about his Arizona trip not involving plans to visit the southern border, Biden said, “There are more important things going on.”
Then, in an interview with Fox News Channel’s “America Reports” on Tuesday, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) said that President Biden does not need to visit the border to know what the problems are.
Following Dingell’s comments, on Wednesday, the National Border Patrol Council tweeted that Joe Biden “refuses” to even look at the border due to the mess his policies have caused.
The group’s tweet reads, “Joe Biden created this massive, chaotic mess at our border with his policies. That is a straight fact. And now he refuses to even look at the damage he’s done while he hides behind his slick WH propaganda team. This is not leadership, it’s cowardice.”
President Biden is grossly mismanaging this border crisis, refusing to even look at the border due to the mess his policies have created. This is an unacceptable stance for a United States President as secure borders are integral to national security. Debbie Dingell’s defense of Biden’s Arizona trip not involving any plans to visit the Texas-Mexico border only serves to further his lack of intent in taking responsibility for this issue and enacting a solution that puts safety first. With ominous comments made and lingering questions surrounding safety and security, American citizens deserve a secure border now. We must hold Biden accountable and emphasize the urgency of secure borders for our nation’s safety and future prosperity.
