Over the weekend, a CNBC/All-America Economic survey found that most Democrats do not want Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024.
According to a recent poll reported on by Breitbart, 57% of Democrats, 66 percent of independents, and 86 percent of Republicans don’t want Biden to run again. Approximately 70 percent of Americans oppose a second reelection campaign. Only 19 percent of voters support Biden’s reelection campaign.
Among those who think Biden shouldn’t run, 47% point to his age as a major reason, including 61% of Democrats and 66% of seniors. In contrast, only 43% of those between 18 and 49 cite age as a major factor. Last month, Biden turned 80. Biden would retire at 86 if reelected in 2024.
In his last two years in office, many have questioned Biden’s cognitive abilities. The fear of Alzheimer’s disease has led some to demand he take a cognitive test.
The poll also found that while Trump’s numbers are more favorable, most Americans do not want him to run for reelection either.
CNBC broke down the numbers during a recent broadcast;
The recent poll’s data aligns with final data from an exit poll conducted by CBS News on election day in November that showed that more than two-thirds of voters do not want to see Biden seek reelection in 2024.
Sixty-seven percent of voters said Biden should step aside while 30% said he should seek a second term.
The latest poll has sent an unmistakable message, with an overwhelming 57 percent of Democrats and 66 percent of independents saying they do not want Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024. This result emphasizes the need for Democrats to find another candidate that the voters can put their trust, in for the long haul who is actually capable of leading the country. With Biden unable to keep up with the expected workload of a President due to cognitive issues, it’s no surprise that his own voters are turning against him. With Biden facing major hurdles considering his current mental condition, a future in which he is reelected seems out of question; it is now increasingly clear that Democrat voters will have to say no to Joe if they plan on winning the upcoming election.
