The woke liberals have been at it again. Shannon Osaka and her cohorts over at the Washington Post have taken a leap beyond sanity with their article exploring the notion that having children is unethical due to them supposedly being climatically destructive!
It seems that the woke climate liberal elitists are pulling out all the stops as they advocate for people to stop reproducing. First it was abortions as a healthcare option, then it was stop having children to end inflation, now it is don’t have kids to save the climate.
Fox News reports, a few days ago, Shannon Osaka, a Climate zeitgeist reporter for the Washington Post, wrote a piece exploring the idea that having children is unethical since they are bad for the environment. Rather than saying that kids are loud or messy, which would be bad for the environment, she is referring to the fact that they breathe too much and consume too much resources, causing climate change for those of us already born.
Osaka quotes Travis Rieder, a “bioethicist” at Johns Hopkins University who wrote about how having children is environmentally irresponsible in 2017. According to Rieder, “Having a child imposes high carbon emissions upon the planet while the parents reap the benefits. We should therefore limit our indulgences.”
Rieder has a child, of course. As if kids were a naughty chocolate bar before dinner, he didn’t decide not to have any children, but merely to “limit” his “indulgence”.
Rieder is quoted as saying, “You have a moral obligation to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.”.
Considering how bad things are looking for the climate change activists, and the whole agenda it is no shock that a recent movie bombed in the box office.
According to FOX News, the new film “To the End” follows Cortez and Varshini Prakash, a climate activist, Rhiana Gunn-Wright, a climate policy writer, and political strategist Alexandra Rojas as they attempt to pass climate change legislation in Congress.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently has an 88% “fresh” critic score but has a 2.1/10 rating on IMDb.
During the opening weekend, the documentary opened on more than 120 screens but generated less than $10,000 at the box office, placing 33rd overall.

As a whole, this line of thinking attacks the idea of children and families. Taking down all the ideas that have held civilization together so far is an integral part of the environmental movement. Many woke agenda-driven liberals may be advocating to get rid of your children due to climate change, but this lunacy should not be taken seriously. Biden’s failure to tackle the economy has caused inflation to skyrocket and many are already struggling to survive. To make matters worse, demanding something as extreme as asking people to opt out of having kids would only exacerbate the current situation. Insanity is taking over when solutions like this are put on the table – it is time to call it out and take steps toward real progress instead.
