They say society is held together by bubblegum and a shoestring, and that once people begin to realize it we are not far from a collapse. This was never more self-evident than in the case of Buffalo, New York as lawlessness broke out the second heavy snows stopped.

Chaos and pandemonium erupted all across Buffalo, New York, as record snowfall fell on the city, as criminals came from their homes and looted everything that was not bolted down.

Zero hedge reports. A winter storm barreled through Buffalo, New York, over the weekend and ended Christmas morning, but the emergency was far from over, as claims across social media indicate widespread looting.

“Looting in Buffalo being significantly downplayed by local media,” said one Twitter user. Local media outlet WGRZ reported, “New York State Police confirm reports of 2 looting incidents.” But judging by the footage posted on Twitter, looting appears to be widespread.

Looting began in earnest when the snows began to stop falling.

It looks like the police finally showed up to stop some of the looting as the city spiraled out of control.

It is disgusting that we live in America and this is still occurring. When will people realize that doing this to their local businesses only harms their local communities? These stores are owned by local franchise owners, or private citizens and all that is doing is decreasing the likelihood that people will invest in the communities, bringing down the available money and thus increasing crime. For the big box stores Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS have all already stated they intend to close businesses in areas where theft has gone up, and how many people in those communities will be affected if they have to travel 30+ minutes to go grocery shopping because their looting, and soft on crime police departments allowed this stuff to happen. Wake up America, we are in crisis, and only we can fix it.
