Former Congressman Adam Kinzinger is saying goodbye to his job in Congress and saying hello to his new job that everyone predicted he would have a long time ago! After his time in office ended, many were wondering how Kinzinger would re-enter the public sphere. Well, we’ve got all the eye-roll worthy details of where the washed up congressman landed, but trust me when I say you’re going to love it.
Following his tenure as one of the most outspoken anti-Trump lawmakers on Capitol Hill, Adam Kinzinger has secured a new job as a cable news pundit.
Kinzinger, who chose not to seek reelection in the 2022 midterm elections, has joined CNN as a senior political commentator, according to FOX News. Kinzinger made his debut as a ‘Senior Political Commentator’ this week on the network’s “Erin Burnett Outfront.”
Over the past two years, Kinzinger has been a frequent guest on CNN, slamming former President Trump and the majority of Republicans.
For example, just earlier this week he was on the network saying that if Donald Trump “is not guilty of a crime,” then he will “fear for this country.”
Many critics claimed Kinzinger’s anti-Trump commentary signaled his intention to join a liberal news network after his term ended. So, in response to the not-so-surprising career move by Kinzinger this week has been mocked by many.
In response to Kinzinger’s hiring at CNN, Tim Young posted on Twitter, “In a shock to literally no one”
Cornell Law Professor and media critic William A. Jacobson sarcastically tweeted, “Nobody saw this coming. Nobody”
And this person commented, “And folks thought CNN+ was going to be rock bottom for that network”
Adam Kinzinger’s recent career move to become a pundit on the liberal cable news network CNN has many in the conservative sphere shaking their heads. After all, the irrelevant and washed up congressman had been making a fool of himself for the past couple of years, often acting as the Republican party’s biggest crybaby and a one-sided advocate against the GOP. Consequently, this week’s announcement of Kinzinger’s new job was met with well-deserved mockery. Clearly, it just confirms what everyone already knew: instead of making a mark in Washington, Adam Kinzinger is now nothing more than a laughingstock on a tanking cable news network.
