Mayorkas Doubles Down On CBP’s Handling of Migrant Surge

Since Alejandro Mayorkas was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Secretary of Homeland Security, his administration has made multiple attempts to address the growing border crisis in our country. By now, it’s become painfully clear that things have only gotten worse and he has failed to bring a halt to the influx of undocumented migrants at the border crossing. If you ask him about how it’s going, he will tell you one thing, it’s best you just go see it for yourself.

Mayorkas made clear in an interview that the understaffed Customs and Border Protection agents were capable of keeping up with increased illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border. While we all know the truth, he continues to express confidence in the agency’s ability to maintain efficiency and manage the influx of migrants. You may be asking yourself, how can an understaffed force be able to handle 7 to almost 10,000 crosses in a day, 7 days a week.

Town Hall reports, Alejandro Mayorkas said Customs and Border Protection agents are able to manage the continued high number of border crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border during a virtual interview Wednesday.

As soon as Title 42 is lifted, Mayorkas assured the Biden administration will be ready. After the Supreme Court ruled it would remain in place until its legal challenges about it are resolved, the public health order was once again prevented from being lifted at the end of the year.

Here is what the lying man had to say regarding the border.

This all comes after the Border Patrol Union tweeted about this December making history.

They said, USBP just posted the busiest December in history and one of the busiest months ever, even though Title 42 is still in place and December is typically the slowest month of the year. Biden’s assault on the border is still picking up steam.

That poses a major issue especially since Mayorka’s just said they were still looking for solutions to the systemic border problem.

The New York Post reported, just before Christmas, federal border officials reported a record number of migrants crossing the southern border.

It was the highest number of migrant encounters ever recorded by US Customs and Border Protection for that month, up from 178,845 for the same period last year, a more than 30% increase.

A total of 16 percent of migrants encountered at the border had crossed into the US before.

First reported by FOX News, the data dump from Homeland Security led to speculation the Biden administration was trying to conceal the new numbers.

The question of what will happen to our country if the Supreme Court rules that Title 42 must be removed from our borders is a troubling one. If this ruling does indeed occur, there is no telling how bad our border problems could become. Countries have various ways of handling foreign nationals and immigrants coming into their countries, but having an “open-door” policy presents a potential danger both economically and logistically. Our current leaders have worked extremely hard to increase illegal immigration and even with the presence of Title 42; the task has been substantial. Lifting Title 42 without finding appropriate solutions could mean chaos for our borders – conservatives know that and democrats do too. Yet, here is Mayorkas pretending everything is being handled.
