After months of speculation surrounding his own future with the company, following a user poll, Musk boldly jested that there was a “new” CEO of Twitter – to everyone’s surprise it was a picture of an adorable pup. While not officially a statement from the company itself, this lighthearted and unexpected announcement certainly managed to garner massive attention and amusement.

On Tuesday, Musk jokingly announced there was a “new” company CEO on Twitter – but it was an image of a dog.
Tweeting: “The new CEO of Twitter is amazing,” he said, adding in another tweet, “So much better than that other guy.”
Earlier this year, Musk posted a Twitter poll asking if he should step down as CEO.
In the now-completed survey, Musk asked, “should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.”
A total of 17.5 million votes were cast as of Monday morning, with 57.5 percent of voters wanting him to step down as CEO and 42.5 percent wanting him to stay on.
