Gavin Newsom is on a mission to turn red states blue – but is he really the champion he claims to be?
Gavin Newsom was elected as the 40th Governor of California in 2018 and has been making waves ever since. From rolling blackouts, to banning anything that consumes fossil fuels, to alienating anyone that does not have a D in front of their name, he is by far one of the most divisive Governors in the country. Now he plans to take his show on the road.
Daily wire reports, Red state residents should be on alert: California Governor Gavin Newsom may be visiting your town as part of his national “Campaign for Democracy.”
You might see him wandering around your neck of the woods if your state legislature and governor pass laws that protect children during pregnancy and from mutilation, strengthen the education curriculum, and take the sovereignty of America seriously, among other excellent initiatives.
It may not be necessary to worry if you don’t live in a place like that, because Newsom is only traveling to states that threaten America as we know it, or as he sees it.
Newsom announced his initiative to spread his brand of absolute control in a video.
That video sounds like someone who is launching a 2024 Presidential campaign, and not someone who wants to help the people in flourishing states like Florida, and Texas.
Newsom is not only targeting Red states but other Presidential candidate hopefuls.
Insider reports, in California, Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom praised Walt Disney World for its “masterclass” in putting Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis “back in his place” after the company exploited a loophole to keep control of its land.
Newsom stated to Insider recently that “I guess there’s a new sheriff in town,” referring to a comment DeSantis made when he appointed a new Disney board.
Newsom continued “”It’s Mickey Mouse, back on top,”
The Walt Disney Studios has its headquarters in Burbank, California, but Disney World brings jobs and tourists to Florida as well. This week, news broke that Florida’s governor has no power to take over Disney World’s governing board.
DeSantis promised, “You ain’t seen nothing yet,” and the state’s attorney general demanded texts and emails regarding Disney’s maneuver with former board members. Members of the current board are also meeting with attorneys.
Taryn Fenske, a spokesperson for DeSantis, said the agreement Disney brokered “may have significant legal infirmities that would make the contracts void by law.”
During a wide-ranging interview, Newsom told Insider he was certain DeSantis would retaliate, saying he is “incapable of not.” In his argument, Newsom argued that the Disney maneuver hurt the governor politically, at a time when he appears to be falling in the polls as a candidate for the Republican nomination.
While Gavin Newsom may appear to be a progressive leader who can bring much needed change to Washington D.C., closer inspection reveals that this is not always the case. The fact that he panders to conservatives while disregarding democratic values makes him a dangerous candidate for leading our country. America needs a president and governor who can speak and communicate with those on the other side of the aisle, not a man who cannot even do that.
