The New York City’s Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has once again shocked the conservative world with his latest lawsuit. Bragg has now filed a suit against House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan. This lawsuit just proves how low Bragg is willing to go in his efforts to push the Democrat agenda and silence conservative voices.
A lawsuit has been filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg against House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan for starting an investigation into Bragg’s prosecution of former President Trump as a means of intimidation and attack.
Bragg filed his lawsuit in federal court in New York on Tuesday after Jordan subpoenaed a former prosecutor involved in the Trump investigation, Mark Pomerantz. Personal emails were also requested by Jordan.
Jordan subpoenaed Pomerantz, who led the investigation into former President Donald Trump’s finances last week. After the Manhattan district attorney hesitated to pursue Trump’s case, Pomerantz resigned in protest.
Republicans’ move was criticized by Bragg as an attempt to undermine an active investigation and he called on elected officials not to interfere with ongoing criminal proceedings in state courts. The testimony of Pomerantz was intended to provide further insight into the investigation and possible legislative reforms aimed at protecting presidents from politically motivated prosecutions at the state and local levels.
On Fox News this week, Jordan called the lawsuit against him an “obstruction” to his constitutional duty to do oversight.
The lawsuit states: “[Bragg] brings this action in response to an unprecedented brazen and unconstitutional attack by members of Congress on an ongoing New York State criminal prosecution and investigation of former President Donald J. Trump.”
This lawsuit by Alvin Bragg against Jim Jordan is nothing short of a political vendetta against conservative values. It is evident that the liberal elite in positions of power are willing to go to any length to silence those that stand for truth and justice. Bragg’s actions are just another attempt to intimidate and bully conservatives into submission. But as always, the conservative movement will prevail, and justice will be served. We cannot let extremist politics and injustice take down our democracy.
