House Republicans strike back against politically motivated attack on Trump by Manhattan DA’s office

It’s time to expose the truth about the politically motivated attack on former President Donald Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and Republicans in Congress are taking bold action to defund this biased office and prevent any further misuse of federal resources.

In a shocking move, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, led by Alvin Bragg, has gone all out in a politically motivated attack on the former Republican US President, Donald Trump. But Republicans in Congress are taking bold measures to stop this biased investigation that is a waste of federal funds.

The two pieces of legislation proposed by Republican Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs are the “Accountability for Lawless Violence in Our Neighborhoods Act” or the “ALVIN Act,” and the “No Federal Funds for Political Prosecutions Act.” Both bills are aimed at preventing the use of federal funds for political prosecutions.

IMG>>>In accordance with the “ALVIN Act,” the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office would be prohibited from receiving federal funds and would be required to repay any funds provided after January 1, 2022.

IMG>>> The “No Federal Funds for Political Prosecutions Act” aims to prevent state or local law enforcement agencies from using funds obtained through the Controlled Substances Act, title 18, or title 28 to investigate or prosecute the President, Vice President, or a candidate for the office of President, while lawlessness pervades major American cities.

But what led to this escalation? According to The Daily Caller, Alvin Bragg ran for the position of District Attorney on a campaign pledge to indict President Trump. Bragg has gone as far as converting minor misdemeanors to 34 individual felonies in an attempt to put former President Trump behind bars and humiliate him and his supporters. All this while failing to address the serious crime in his city. The Manhattan DA’s office has spent thousands of federal taxpayer dollars to subsidize this political indictment and is demanding millions more in federal grants. Biggs added, “It’s disturbing to see District Attorney Bragg waste federal resources for political purposes.”

But let us not forget this is what Bragg campaigned on to get himself into office.

After Trump was indicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records, Bragg filed a lawsuit against House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, requesting a federal court to invalidate any subpoenas that the committee might issue to Bragg or his current or former employees. Trump pleaded “not guilty” to all 34 charges.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan stated that Bragg’s lawsuit will not deter Republicans from investigating his office’s case against Trump. Jordan slammed Bragg for his “pro-crime, anti-victim policies,” which are being implemented in New York under his leadership, and accused him of abusing his power to indict former President Donald Trump for “no crime!”

Republicans in Congress are taking bold measures to stop the politically motivated attack on former President Donald Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. The proposed legislation will defund the biased office and prevent any further misuse of federal resources. The nation cannot afford to support Mr. Bragg’s politicization of the criminal justice system, and it’s time to take action. It’s time to expose the truth, and Republicans are doing the right thing by standing up for what’s right.
