Freedom of the Press NO MORE under Biden’s Administration

Despite being the second-most-read newspaper in the United States in terms of online readership, The Post was denied a journalist to cover the event.

In what seems like a blatant attempt to silence conservative news outlets, the White House has barred The New York Post from attending a public event involving President Biden and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. The Post has been a thorn in the side of the Biden family, exposing the questionable actions of the then-vice president’s son, Hunter Biden, in his overseas business dealings. Despite being the second-most-read newspaper in the United States in terms of online readership, The Post was denied a journalist to cover the event. This smacks of censorship and an attempt to control the narrative.

Democrats have struck again as a prominent right-leaning outlet, The New York Post, was excluded from sending a correspondent to a White House event on Monday. This comes as rumors swirl about a potential indictment looming for Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden. The Post was the first outlet to break the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive, which was reportedly abandoned at a computer repair shop in Delaware in 2019. This hard drive contained revealing and disturbing details about the now-first son’s shady business dealings in Ukraine and China.

Despite The Post’s exceptional coverage of President Biden’s ties to his relatives’ foreign dealings, the White House still prohibited them from reporting on his only daytime public event, a meeting with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to discuss airline policies at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Democrats have repeatedly claimed that The Post’s reporting was Russian disinformation, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Last year, The Post had the fifth-largest print circulation in the United States and is the nation’s second-most-read newspaper online. Its news website is the fifth largest in the country, or fourth when excluding aggregator MSN. The Post has extensively covered President Biden’s suspicious business ties, including links to Hunter Biden’s ventures in China and Ukraine.

The Post received an email from the White House on Monday prior to the event that read, “We are unable to accommodate your credential request to attend the Investing in Airline Accountability Remarks on May 8th. The remarks will be live-streamed and can be viewed at WH.gov. Thank you for understanding. We will let you know if a credential becomes available.”

It should be noted that the email did not suggest that The Post was excluded due to “space limitations,” a justification that was previously given by the press office for screening reporters for large presidential events. In past administrations, these events were open to all journalists on the White House grounds.

It’s clear that the mainstream media is once again trying to suppress the truth and prevent The Post, one of the only outlets reporting honestly on the Biden family, from covering important events. This censorship is a clear violation of the First Amendment and is just another example of the left’s desperation to silence any dissenting voices. The American people deserve to know the truth about the President’s shady business ties and The Post has been instrumental in uncovering them. It is imperative that the freedom of the press continues to be defended in the face of such blatant attempts to silence news outlets.
