In a stunning move that has rocked Capitol Hill, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has introduced a resolution to expel Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) from Congress. The fiery Congresswoman’s move comes only days after the Durham report concluded that the Trump-Russia probe never should have been opened. Furious at Schiff’s repeated claims of having “abundance” of evidence of “collusion” – despite all evidence to the contrary – Luna has called for an ethics investigation into Schiff’s misconduct.
Congresswoman Paulina Luna (R-FL) introduced her resolution to expel U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) from Congress on Wednesday, as he repeatedly claimed that there was an “abundance” of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government despite the recent conclusion by White House special counsel John Durham that the Trump-Russia probe should have never been opened.
The Florida Congresswoman tweeted, “Knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for office. Ethics should investigate.”
Schiff tried fundraising off of the resolution against him, tweeting, “A MAGA Republican Member of Congress just filed a motion to expel me from the U.S. House of Representatives. I stood up to Donald Trump and held extreme MAGA forces accountable. Now they want payback. They’ll go after anyone who defends the rule of law.”
The move comes after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy hinted at Schiff’s expulsion while speaking to reporters on Tuesday.
Schiff has knowingly used his position on the House Intelligence Committee to push a lie that has ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President.
Schiff’s actions have raised serious concerns about his fitness for office. The California congressman’s repeated claims of collusion are completely unfounded and are nothing more than an attempt to undermine the duly elected President and his administration. It raises questions about Schiff’s allegiance and motives, and his blatant disregard for the truth is unacceptable.
Despite the fact that both the Mueller and Durham reports have exonerated the Trump campaign of any wrongdoing, Schiff has continued to push his false narrative.
