University of Dayton’s taxpayer-funded anti-terror program, PREVENTS-OH, hastily erased controversial content from its website after significant backlash. The now-deleted seminars featured presentations that unjustly linked conservative groups, Christians, and Republicans with hate groups and tried to stain these groups with the actions of extremists. The hasty cover-up has not gone unnoticed, further raising suspicions of an agenda trying to undermine conservatives and silence their voices.
The DHS-funded program at the University of Dayton was recently caught showcasing troubling materials, including a seminar that featured the “Pyramid of Far-Right Radicalization.” This content, clearly antagonistic towards conservative ideals, associated the conservative movement, Christians and Republicans with neo-Nazis and extremists. Presenters such as Nicole Widdersheim, a deputy Washington director for Human Rights Watch, and Alexander Hinton, a Rutgers University faculty member, even drew comparisons between former President Trump and genocidal dictator Pol Pot.
In response to the controversy, MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider accused the DHS and its grantees of trying to “hide all their dirty work.” He implies that the public has caught on to their plans to undermine America and deflect blame by deleting the content.
Interestingly, the content from these seminars, which used to be available for public viewing online, has now disappeared from the University of Dayton’s website. The change took place right after MRC Free Speech America launched an investigation into how the Biden Administration, the DHS, and its TVTP Grant Program were potentially being weaponized against American conservatives. The current website now shows random stock photos of students and claims that their content is not linked to the Biden DHS.
Despite their denial, researchers from MRC Free Speech America discovered that the University of Dayton used the “Pyramid of Far-Right Radicalization” in their application for the TVTP grant program. After being awarded $352,109, they proceeded to use these funds to perpetuate false and harmful associations between the conservative movement and real extremist groups.
The consequences of these revelations reflect the growing tension in America regarding the perceived and real overreach of liberal influence. It’s essential to hold these institutions accountable for their actions, especially when taxpayer dollars are involved in pushing a specific political narrative.
