President Biden delivers a disastrous commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy
President Joe Biden’s recent address at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs was nothing short of an embarrassment. The 65th graduation ceremony left much to be desired, with the ceremony itself being overshadowed by Biden’s lackluster performance.
The incredible young men and women preparing to embark on their respective careers in our nation’s air force deserved better than to watch their commander-in-chief appearing utterly disinterested in the proceedings. Indeed, as video footage from the event shows, Biden appeared bored while he waited for the ceremony to begin.
This display of disinterest was further exacerbated by Biden’s seeming inability to find his way to the stage. In what can only be described as a sad spectacle, the president had to ask for directions not once, but twice to successfully reach the stage. This unfortunate display was noted by the Republican National Committee Research, which shared footage of Biden’s struggle on Twitter.
As if the commencement address had not already been soured by Biden’s apparent confusion and disinterest, his speech was an incoherent mix of empty promises and half-truths. It is disheartening to witness our nation’s leader unable to deliver a powerful, well-constructed message to these brave future heroes of our military.
This shoddy performance is yet another example of the decline in leadership since President Biden took office. Such episodes should be a wake-up call to American voters about the caliber of leadership currently in place. Do we want our future military officers to be inspired by a president who seems to lack focus and commitment?
