Communist China’s “unbelievable aggression” toward Western nations has sparked concerns among top U.S. officials. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner slammed China’s recent actions, including a Chinese fighter jet flying in front of a U.S. reconnaissance plane and a warship coming within 150 yards of a U.S. Navy destroyer. Turner called for the Biden administration to take strong action against China’s “coercion,” which he sees as an attempt to advance authoritarianism. Senator Tom Cotton also criticized the administration, saying officials are acting like “lovestruck teenagers” in their dealings with communist China.

Communist China is engaging in “unbelievable aggression” against Western nations, and it’s time for the United States to take a firm stand against this bullying behavior, according to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH). In a recent interview with ABC News’ “This Week,” Turner blasted China for its recent provocations, which include a Chinese fighter jet flying directly in front of a U.S. reconnaissance plane over the South China Sea and a Chinese warship coming within 150 yards of a U.S. Navy destroyer. These are not isolated incidents, but rather part of a larger pattern of aggressive behavior by China, Turner said.

“This is about democracy versus authoritarianism,” Turner said. “China is trying to advance authoritarianism and we need to stand strong against this type of coercion. We need to call them out and make it clear that China has identified itself as an adversary, and we’re going to treat it as such.”

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) also weighed in on the issue, criticizing the Biden administration for its lack of action in dealing with China. During an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox News Sunday,” Cotton said that U.S. officials are acting like “lovestruck teenagers” in their dealings with their counterparts in Beijing.

“It’s time for the United States to wake up and recognize the threat that China poses to our national security and our way of life,” Cotton said. “China is not our friend. It is our enemy, and we need to treat it as such.”

The recent incidents in the South China Sea and elsewhere are just the latest examples of China’s aggressive behavior, according to experts. China has been building up its military and expanding its territorial claims in the region, and it has been accused of engaging in cyber-espionage and other forms of economic warfare against the United States.

The U.S. government needs to stand up to China’s aggressive behavior, which threatens Western democracies. As China flexes its muscles in the South China Sea and beyond, officials like Mike Turner and Tom Cotton are sounding the alarm about the need to take action. The Biden administration must show strength and leadership in confronting China’s attempt to advance authoritarianism and take a stand against this dangerous adversary.
