New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez raises a fuss over the potential failure of Biden’s student loan bailout plan, alleging ‘corruption’ within the U.S. Supreme Court. This accusation demonstrates her lack of comprehension surrounding government functions and authority.

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has recently expressed her agitation regarding the potential demise of President Biden’s student loan bailout plan, pointing the finger at the ‘corruption’ that she believes exists within the U.S. Supreme Court. With a decision on the issue expected by the end of June, the court’s ruling could affect approximately 43 million eligible borrowers who could receive financial assistance from the federal government. Though the White House remains optimistic about the case, Ocasio-Cortez’s lack of faith in the Supreme Court’s integrity casts doubt on the bailout plan’s potential success.

Carrie Severino of the Judicial Crisis Network took to Twitter to remind Ocasio-Cortez of the separation of powers outlined in the Constitution, which reserves the power of the purse to Congress, not the President. Biden’s student debt handout plan could be viewed as a breach of these powers. Others on social media offered their opinions as well, with one questioning the responsibility of others to pay for private loans taken for college education. Another respondent contemplated whether the Supreme Court’s role in this situation might just be to keep the other branches of government in check, rather than being corrupt.

AOC’s swift accusations toward the Supreme Court seem unfounded and indicative of her inability to grasp the inner workings of our government. As is often the case with Democrats, she is simply frustrated that the court will not bend to their will.

In conclusion, Ocasio-Cortez’s misguided blame placed on the Supreme Court
