The Democrats have once again violated the Hatch Act. Despite receiving a warning last week that using the term “MAGA” in official correspondence violates the Hatch Act, White House officials continued to use it. This time it was Andrew Bates, White House Deputy Press Secretary who used the term in a memo on Wednesday. The Office of Special Counsel sent out guidelines to federal agencies last week warning them that the term was off-limits as it was too closely associated with former President Donald Trump’s campaign. The Hatch Act limits partisan political activity by government employees in their official capacities to influence elections. Violating the law undermines the integrity of our democracy and risks a lack of accountability.

President Biden has recently come under fire for his comments on building a railroad from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean. Critics have questioned the feasibility and practicality of such a project, with many suggesting that it is nothing short of absurd. It would require the construction of a dangerous and impossible tunnel running underneath the Indian Ocean. Biden’s statement that Angola plans to build one of the largest solar plants in the world has also raised concerns, as the construction of such a facility would require vast land and resources that could be used elsewhere. Many have called for Biden’s removal from office, especially due to his apparent cognitive decline and lack of understanding of complex issues.

Americans for Public Trust (APT) has filed a lawsuit against Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, accusing the Department of Transportation of withholding information about Buttigieg’s use of the agency’s private jets. APT claims to have made numerous attempts to obtain information on the frequency of Buttigieg’s private flights and the associated costs, but the Department of Transportation has failed to provide any relevant information. The lawsuit is necessary to hold the Biden administration accountable for their spending habits and lack of transparency. This is not the first time that Buttigieg’s excessive use of private jets at the taxpayers’ expense has been called into question. Despite economic hardship and taxpayer concerns, it seems Buttigieg has taken advantage of this service excessively.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has transported around 40 illegal immigrants to Union Station in Los Angeles as part of his ongoing policy of taking them to cities that are sanctuary states. Governor Abbott is vocal about the overwhelming number of illegal crossings into Texas from Mexico and the consequent strain on small border towns. In response, he has transported illegal immigrants to other cities that have declared themselves as sanctuaries. LA Mayor Karen Bass has condemned the move and called for an end to using human beings as pawns in ‘cheap political games’. LA has already been a major attraction for migrants since declaring itself as a sanctuary city. Governor Abbott’s move has sparked debates amongst lawmakers.

President Joe Biden is facing difficult questions about his involvement in an alleged bribery scheme while serving as the vice president. The FBI provided documents to Congress last week alleging that Biden accepted a $5 million bribe from a Ukrainian oligarch and paid his son Hunter. It has also been alleged that Zlochevsky recorded conversations with the Bidens as insurance. A recent poll indicated that a majority of voters believe the Bidens received payments from foreign entities to influence policy. Biden has refused to comment, calling the allegations “malarkey.” The FBI has not disclosed if it has copies of the alleged conversations. The informant who provided the FBI with the information has reportedly received over $200,000 from the agency and may have connections to the CIA.
