The radical left is once again attacking the beloved country music industry with their progressive agenda, this time targeting Jason Aldean’s hit song “Try That in a Small Town.” The song, which celebrates the tight-knit communities of rural America, has been falsely accused of being racist and pro-lynching by these leftist ideologues.
Despite the fact that the song has been out since May, it wasn’t until Aldean released a video for it in July that these woke warriors began their smear campaign. Country Music Television (CMT) even caved to their pressure and pulled the video. It’s a sad day when political correctness trumps artistic expression.
Thankfully, Aldean and his wife Brittany are not backing down. In fact, they’re fighting back harder than ever. Brittany took to Instagram to defend her husband and slam the media for twisting the truth to fit their “repulsive” narrative. Refusing to be silenced by these radical zealots, Brittany posted a selfie of her and Jason with the caption “Never apologize for speaking the truth.”
And the truth is that there is not a single lyric in “Try That in a Small Town” that references race or condones lynching. The song simply celebrates the sense of community and neighborly love that is all too often missing in our modern society. But of course, the left can’t let a good thing go without trying to ruin it.
It’s not just the left’s attacks on Aldean’s music that are cause for concern, though. Brittany rightly points out that we should be focusing on real issues like child trafficking, instead of getting caught up in the media’s manufactured controversies. It’s time to take a stand against the leftist agenda and fight back against their attempts to silence free speech and destroy our cultural heritage.
Thankfully, Jason Aldean is not afraid to take a stand. He has always been unapologetically conservative in his political views and he’s not going to let the left silence him. “Try That in a Small Town” is a rallying cry for all those who long for a return to the simple values of our forefathers. It’s time to stand up against the leftist thought police and defend our freedom of expression.
