Soup Attack on Mona Lisa: Climate Activists’ Wasted Food Fiasco at the Louvre!
Last Sunday’s outrageous act at the Louve Museum in Paris, where French group Riposte Alimentaire activists hurled pumpkin soup at the iconic Mona Lisa, symbolizes a disconcerting trend amongst climate radicals – self-aggrandizing protests, indifferent to rights, interest, and peace. Irony drips from their claim of advocating a “healthy and sustainable food system” as they senselessly waste food against a timeless masterpiece. Such audacity obliges us to question their understanding of peaceful, rational protest and their respect for art, history, and culture. Such histrionics only undermine the climate cause, morphing it into a ludicrous spectacle.
