A crazed gunman stormed into a comedy club and began shooting while Craig Robinson, a star from the show The Office, was performing.
Robinson was performing at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina around 9PM on Saturday when the active shooter burst into the room.
The mad man then began waving his gun around in the air, demanding the audience leave the venue immediately. Both the audience and the club staff were evacuated before the police arrived and subdued the man.
Police said the shooter did actually discharge his firearm multiple times while in the club. However, they noted, that he didn’t shoot any rounds until after the building was completely empty.
Craig Robinson posted his own video on Instagram Live immediately following the incident.
“I’m performing at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina. There was an active shooter in the comedy club,” Robinson told his viewers.
The celebrity comedian continued, “It was wild, I was in the green room and they’re like ‘everybody get out!’ It was a moment for sure. So they moved us over to this. There’s a concert going on so I thought I’d just share with y’all.”
Police confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody and nobody was harmed.
“He brandished a firearm inside the business, which was quickly evacuated. The suspect then discharged his weapon. There were no injuries and the suspect was taken into custody,” the officers told reporters.
Thank God nobody was injured in this shooting that could have been a lot worse. What do you think small businesses like this should do to protect themselves from crazy gunmen? Should they allow their employees to concealed carry on the job?
