He brandished the victim card repeatedly, from referring to the 54-year-old as a “child” to highlighting the First Lady’s show of support and Biden’s battle against addiction. The verdict, therefore, according to Muir, is constructed as a tragic event rather than a consequence of Hunter’s wrongdoings.
The mainstream media didn’t stop at generating sympathy. They used this verdict to draw parallels between Biden’s willing acceptance towards the conviction and former President Trump’s legitimate criticism of a judiciary that has been used against him, putting both the Presidents on disparate pedestals. ABC’s Rachel Scott, seizing an opportunity to exercise bias reporting, contrasted President Biden with former President Trump, with the former painted in a favorable light while the latter, conversely, was portrayed as outrightly defiant.

The verdict has been cleverly manipulated to shield the possible Biden family’s alleged influence-peddling. It’s disappointing how media’s court is playing defensive tactics for the Biden Administration, thus raising questions about their credibility and leaving their viewers with a distorted reality.
The inescapable fact is this: Hunter Biden, son of the current President, has been convicted on federal gun charges. No amount of media spin can erase this truth. The media’s job is to report the truth, not protect political figures. In the end, only the truth will stand.
