Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the state’s Surgeon General Joseph Lapado, M.D. met with Fox’s Laura Ingraham last week, just after Dr. Fauci’s most recent flip-flop. They both called him out, with DeSantis saying “if I had my druthers, you know, you’d take him and you’d chuck him across the Potomac.”
Governor DeSantis, Surgeon General Lapado and FOX host Ingraham had a lot to say about the White House Correspondent’s Dinner too. Calling out the inconsistencies of the Biden administration, they noted that Biden has appealed the recent Federal Court ruling that lifted the mask mandate on airplanes and elsewhere. At the same time, Biden attended the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, that was packed with people.
Even the emcee of the event, Trevor Noah made fun of this, calling it a “superspreader event.” He went on, saying: “For real, what are we doing here? Did none of you learn anything from the Gridiron dinner? Nothing? You guys spent the last two years telling everyone the importance of wearing masks and avoiding large in-door gatherings, then the second someone offers you a free dinner, you all turn into Joe Rogan.”
Dr. Lapado discussed Dr. Fauci’s most recent flip-flop. He noted that one day, Fauci said the United States was out of the pandemic phase, but on the very next day he said “the world is still in a pandemic. There’s no doubt about that. Don’t anybody get any misinterpretation of that.”
According to Florida Surgeon General Lapado, “[t]his is really the kind of inconsistency that has really fueled the distrust for public health officials — and it is well-earned and well-deserved.”
Governor DeSantis has been the lighthouse in the Covid cluster since it began. He has listened to voices of reason, such as experts like Dr. Lapado, and his state has done quite well. Do you agree that Dr. Fauci, who led the failed policies, needs to retire? Please comment ‘Retire’ if you do.
