A crime wave sweeping across many major liberal cities in the US has finally hit just one mile from the US Capitol Building.

A new video posted on Twitter shows a group of shoplifters stealing supplies from a Giant Food grocery store. The store is located on H Street NE, just one mile from the U.S. Capitol Building.

In the video, the criminals can be seen stealing large amounts of laundry detergent and other cleaning supplies by shoving them into large plastic garbage bags while wearing ski masks.

The first of the 3 thieves in the video has a shopping cart filled with food as well, which he begins throwing laundry detergent into.

The second thief walks over, appearing to be wearing some kind of purse, and begins shoving more supplies into his garbage bag. Near the end of the video, while the first 2 thieves are heading towards the door, the 3rd seems to run straight for the person filming their crime.

According to a report by FOX News, store security chose to sit by and ignore the thieves while the crime took place.

It is unclear if the criminals have been arrested yet for the Capitol criminals.

This year alone Washington D.C. has seen a staggering 38% increase in robbery in the city.

Similar crimes have been caught on video around the country following progressive efforts to stop prosecuting minor crimes like theft under $1000. This has led to police no longer responding to many of the calls about these crimes.

In one incident in San Francisco, the thieves began assaulting customers in the store with bananas as they made their escape.

In another incident, a criminal was filmed stealing over $1700 from a Duane Reade store in Manhattan.

Instead of making his escape, however, the man reentered the store and proceeded to assault the employees with a bike chain.

A video from Los Angeles shows a criminal gang brazenly stealing large amounts of supplies from a Sephora store in the Cerritos mall.

While the crime wave has devastated many stores and communities, it has not gone entirely unnoticed by voters. On Tuesday San Francisco voted to recall their own progressive District Attorney who has been blamed for a large spike in criminal activity. Meanwhile the District Attorney of Los Angeles, George Gascon, is facing his own recall vote for similar reasons.

It’s clear that even more traditionally liberal voters are finally deciding that these progressive policies have gone too far. Do you think this will go to benefit Republicans in 2022 or will they just elect more conservative-leaning liberals and Democrats to fill the spots?
