Biden Will Finish Part of Trump’s Wall to Stop Immigration

When Donald Trump was President, the slogan of the Democrats was walls don’t work. Now Joe Biden has revealed he intends to help finish Trump’s wall to stem the flow of illegal immigrants entering the country.

The new segment of the wall was originally authorized by Trump while he was still president before being frozen by Biden when he entered office. It will be constructed near the San Diego border with Tijuana, Mexico.

Once complete, the additional wall will force the closure of the famous Friendship Park, where family members who had been separated could meet up and touch each other without a wall between them.

The project will replace the existing barriers in friendship park with 2 new 30-foot walls like the ones Trump had been building.

John Fanestil, the convener of the Friends of Friendship Park coalition based in San Diego, was upset over the move, declaring, “Joe Biden should not be putting the finishing touches on Donald Trump’s border wall at Friendship Park.”

“U.S. Border Patrol says they are just ‘replacing walls’ at Friendship Park, but the proposed construction amounts to a permanent closure of the U.S. side of this historic location,” he added.

In 2020 Joe Biden promised “Not one more inch of wall.” Almost immediately after entering office, Biden signed the executive to freeze the construction. The new approval is likely to upset many liberal organizations who will view it as Biden going back on his word.

The move comes after the tragic death of 53 undocumented migrants in the back of a semi-truck trailer last month. The migrants were abandoned by the drugged-up truck driver and died of suffocation and heat exhaustion. It was the largest immigration tragedy in American history.

In the 1990s, many Democrats supported the building of a border wall to help manage immigration on our southern border. Now they outwardly reject it, but Biden’s actions tell another tale. Do you think Democrat politicians privately believe a wall would work?
