United States Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was chased out of a Washington, DC steakhouse last week by angry, pro-abortion protesters.
The nation’s top jurist was dining out at the high end Morton’s restaurant in DC on Thursday evening when a large group of protesters showed up outside.
The angry pro-choicers created a scene, demanding the manager throw Kavanaugh out of the restaurant over his support to end Roe era abortion protections in the United States.
The group behind the protest, ShutDownDC, tweeted at one point that Kavanaugh’s security team has snuck him out the back once the crowd showed up. They also shamed Morton’s for not taking stern action. Kavanaugh was reportedly forced to skip his desert.
ShutDownDC made it clear that they were far from finished with their intimidation tactics towards any of the Conservative SCOTUS justices.
Shortly after the incident, they posted an offer to service industry workers offering bounties starting at $50 if they report the locations of the various justices at different times. They even offer a bonus of $200 if they are able to make it to the location to protest them before they leave.
This would seemingly imply that they used a similar tactic with Morton’s to find Kavanaugh, although this has not been confirmed.
Morton’s did release their own statement on the incident as well. They defended Kavanaugh while describing how the protesters harassed other patrons in their fury.
“Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were unduly harassed by unruly protestors while eating dinner at our Morton’s restaurant,” a Morton’s spokesperson said, per Politico. “Politics, regardless of your side or views, should not trample the freedom at play of the right to congregate and eat dinner. There is a time and place for everything. Disturbing the dinner of all of our customers was an act of selfishness and void of decency.”
The targeting of major Conservatives in their private lives instead of simply legislating their issues away like our Democracy demands has become the norm for the radical left. Do you think they will continue towing a line between peaceful and intimidation or is it just a matter of time before something much worse happens?
