The purge of anti trump, woke news anchors continues at CNN.
CNN’s Ceo is forcing a lot of major long-time fixtures of CNN to leave the organization during an apparent restructuring of the corporation.
Daily mail writes. Following the unceremonious termination of Brian Stelter and White House correspondent John Hardwood, CNN staffers fear a network-wide purge of top talent.
CNN employees have told daily mail that there seems to be a culling of the woke at the news outlet since Hardwood announced his surprise departure on Friday, just hours after reporting from the White House.
Both Hardwood and Stelter, who hosted Reliable Sources last month, had their contracts terminated prematurely.
In an effort to present a more neutral CNN and win back the title of ‘most trusted name in news,’ Chris Licht is removing all those who have been critical of Donald Trump and his allies.
There might be a shift taking place inside CNN.
Yahoo News writes. Zaslav hired Licht to replace Jeff Zucker, CNN’s ousted longtime leader, who had encouraged the network’s stars to express more emotion and opinion earlier in his tenure.
“People are freaked out,” said one CNN journalist. “It almost feels like there’s a pattern. Is there a purge going on? They seem to be sending a message: ‘Watch what you say. Watch what you do.'”
Licht has provided little guidance publicly about CNN’s new mission, leaving some employees feeling unmoored. Another CNN insider noted that Licht has not hired many new voices to replace longtime CNN personalities.
Among his CNN peers, Harwood stood out for his vocal commentary. Speaking about President Joe Biden’s address from Philadelphia the previous night, Harwood called Trump a “dishonest demagogue.” According to Harwood, Biden’s assertion that Trump and his supporters threaten democracy is correct.
CNN is circling the toilet bowl as we speak. With Lichts actions, removing some of CNN’s more WOKE anchors, his work is only beginning. CNN needs to clean house front to back before America can begin to take them seriously again.
