Biden has been trying to beat his chest on the recent inflation numbers coming down fractions of a percentage point, yet they are still the worst in 40 years.
Daily caller writes. In a Monday afternoon interview, Martha MacCallum and Jared Bernstein clashed over whether the Biden administration had downplayed inflation.
Joe Biden defended his administration’s handling of inflation during a 60 Minutes interview Sunday by citing lower gas prices and the fact that inflation rates, while still high, have not spiked in recent months. Although the exchange grew testy, Bernstein repeated the president’s position.

Biden was recently interviewed by 60 minutes and he was given no slack when it came to inflation.
Joe Biden attempted to spin the new and horrendous inflation numbers as “progress.”
“Today’s data show more progress in bringing global inflation down in the US economy. Overall, prices have been essentially flat in our country these last two months: that is welcome news for American families, with more work still to do,” Biden released in a statement last Tuesday morning.
